The production of Fire Fighting vehicles started in Chatellerault at the BIRO factory in the '60.
At this moment, approx. 1500 vehicles are in service all over the world.

Projects in excess of 50 vehicles have been supplied to airports, Petroleum companies, Civil Defence, Fire Brigades and military authorities in different countries.

Most important overseas key markets are in Iran, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and several cointries in the Middle East an Africa.

Aircraft rescue fire-fightinf vehicles in conformity to the ICA and NFPA recommendations have been supplied to a wide number of military and civil airports.
Most of our fire-fighting vehicles for industrial applications have been designed in close collaboration with this end user (chemical, pharmaceutical and petrochemical plants).
